A League of Their Own
<div><b>ABOUT CAPE MEDIATION and WHY WE CHOSE A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN for Dispute Resolution Week</b></div><div><br></div><div>Set during World War II, the film, A League of Their Own, focuses on the resilience of women in a male-dominated profession and their struggle to be treated as serious competitors as they pave the way forward and learning to bridge their biases, find common ground, without losing their identity along the way.</div><div><br></div><div>At Cape Mediation we believe that conflict can be an opportunity to create positive change. Mediators believe that when everyone is in agreement nothing changes, good or bad. We also know that conflict is part of life and when we use the right tools, it can become a catalyst for growth, build stronger relationships, and drive meaningful change.</div><div><br></div><div>Cape Cod Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., dba Cape Mediation, is a nonprofit community Mediation center on Cape Cod that has a mission of bringing people together at a time when they are faced with difficult situations such as losing their homes, dealing with the loss of a loved one, keeping their businesses running, or just being able to pay their bills. Mediation offers the opportunity to resolve conflicts and build a stronger community together.</div><div><br></div><div>Every October Cape Mediation joins Peacemakers from around the globe to celebrate Conflict Resolution Month, promoting peaceful means of resolving conflict. Please join us on October 22nd as we host our third annual night at the movies with the Chatham Orpheum Theater. Proceeds from the film will be used to support Cape Mediation's Youth Programs in schools in and around Cape Cod, teaching our leaders of tomorrow the skills to effectively manage conflict.</div><div><br></div>ComedyPT2H8MPGUSenTom Hanks
